Filters - Part I
نویسنده
چکیده
Filters of a lattice, maximal filters (ultrafilters), operation to create a filter generating by an element or by a nonempty set of elements of the lattice are discussed. Besides, there are introduced implicative lattices such that for every two elements there is an element being pseudo-complement of them. Some facts concerning these concepts are presented too, i.e. for any proper filter there exists an ultrafilter consists it.

$z^circ$-filters and related ideals in $C(X)$
In this article we introduce the concept of $z^circ$-filter on a topological space $X$. We study and investigate the behavior of $z^circ$-filters and compare them with corresponding ideals, namely, $z^circ$-ideals of $C(X)$, the ring of real-valued continuous functions on a completely regular Hausdorff space $X$. It is observed that $X$ is a compact space if and only if every $z^circ$-filter ...
متن کاملSimultaneous Spectrophotometric Determination of Heavy Metal Ions Using Several Chemometrics Methods: Effect of Different Parameters of Savitzky-Golay and Direct Orthogonal Signal Correction Filters
Direct orthogonal signal correction(DOSC) and Savitzky-Golay filters (SGF) were applied as preprocessing methods on the original and first derivative absorbance data. Principle component regression (PCR), partial least squares (PLS) and iterative target transformation factor analysis (ITTFA), were used in spectrophotometric simultaneous determination of heavy divalent metal ions, l...
متن کاملUnderstanding Nonlinear Kalman Filters, Part I: Selection between EKF and UKF
Kalman filters provide an important technique for estimating the states of engineering systems. With several variations of nonlinear Kalman filters, there is a lack of guidelines for filter selection with respect to a specific research or engineering application. This creates a need for an in-depth discussion of the intricacies of different nonlinear Kalman filters. Particularly of interest for...

متن کاملThe Weizmann Institute of Science Faculty
Bloom filters and Counting Bloom Filters (CBFs) are widely used in networking device algorithms. They implement fast set representations to support membership queries with limited error. Unlike Bloom filters, CBFs also support element deletions. In the first part of the talk, I will introduce a new general method based on variable increments to improve the efficiency of CBFs and their variants....
